Jackson McCrea Perfect Manhattan

Menu Description

Jackson McCrea Rye stirred with sweet vermouth and orange bitters, served in a dry vermouth-rinsed glass with a Luxardo cherry.

Specs

  • 2 oz Jackson McCrea Rye

  • .75 oz Dry Vermouth (glass rinse)

  • .25 oz Sweet Vermouth

  • 1 dash Orange Bitters

  • 1 Luxardo cherry

  • Bar spoon Luxardo cherry juice

Glassware: Nick & Nora preferred (5–6 oz capacity). Small coupe acceptable.

​

Preparation

  1. Chill a Nick & Nora glass.

  2. Lightly rinse or mist the interior of the chilled glass with dry vermouth. Discard excess.

  3. In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine:

    • 2 oz Jackson McCrea Rye

    • .25 oz sweet vermouth

    • 1 dash orange bitters

    • Bar spoon Luxardo cherry juice

  4. Stir deliberately for 20–25 seconds until properly chilled and diluted.

  5. Strain into the vermouth-rinsed glass.

  6. Garnish with one Luxardo cherry.

Specs

  • 2 oz Jackson McCrea Rye

  • 2–3 dashes dark chocolate bitters

​

Glassware: Glencairn preferred. Small rocks glass (no ice) acceptable.

​

Preparation

  1. Pour 2 oz Jackson McCrea Rye neat into a Glencairn or small rocks glass.

  2. Add 2–3 dashes dark chocolate bitters directly to the whiskey.

  3. Gently swirl in the glass to integrate — do not stir aggressively.

  4. Serve with one high-quality shortbread cookie on the side.

Menu Description

Jackson McCrea Rye stirred with amaro and bitters, finished with an orange expression.

 

Specs

2 oz Jackson McCrea Rye Whiskey

1 oz Amaro (Nonino or Montenegro preferred)

1 dash orange bitters

1 dash aromatic bitters

Glassware: Nick & Nora preferred (5–6 oz capacity). Small coupe acceptable.​

​

Preparation

  1. Chill a Nick & Nora glass.

  2. In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine:

    • 2 oz Jackson McCrea Rye

    • 1 oz amaro

    • 1 dash orange bitters

    • 1 dash aromatic bitters

  3. Stir deliberately for 20–25 seconds until properly chilled and diluted.

  4. Strain into the chilled glass.

  5. Express an orange peel over the surface and discard or garnish as preferred.

 

Style Note: Stirred and spirit-forward. Herbal depth with a structured rye backbone.

Menu Description

A bright, aromatic highball with Jackson McCrea, fresh lemon, and a touch of lavender, topped with sparkling soda. Light, refreshing and especially welcoming for new whiskey drinkers.

 

Specs

1oz Jackson McCrea Rye

.25oz Lavender Simple Syrup

.75oz Lemon Juice

Top with Club Soda

Glassware:  Collins glass

Preparation

1. Add Jackson McCrea, lavender simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice to a Collins glass.

2. Fill the glass with ice and stir briefly to combine.

3. Top with club soda.

4. Garnish with a fresh sprig of lavender

​

Style Note: Light, citrusy and aromatic. Lavender softens the rye's spice and soda keeps the cocktail crisp and refreshing.
